So I'm on my way back from a local cruise in where I met another TMS member (jwgroovin), and as I'm sitting at the second to last red light before my apartment a guy and his girlfriend roll up next to me in his black BMW M3. Now when it's dark out, and you're sitting at a red light next to an M3 it's go time. The light turned green and we both stomped on it. After seeing his head lights in my side view mirror I shut it down. Now we all know it's not a surprise that the M3 couldn't keep up off the line but what is a surprise is.... get this.... at the next light he honks at me and says, "Good job! Your car sounds nice, I like it!" It's always nice to get some respect from the non muscle car owners. Although he did mumble something about a tire light being on so he couldn't push it as hard as he wanted to. Excuses, excuses.

Good job, Chris. I had a bit of a run with a new M3 a while back before my mods. We didn't go from a dig, so I don't know how I would have fared. From a roll it was pretty even, but we ran out of room. Those things will go to 8K rpms and pull pretty hard in the higher revs. I was bone stock @ the time and I thought he was a bit faster from, say, 60 to 100. I'd love to get one from a stop with my mods. Would be interesting.

I'd did go out for a drive tonight and toyed with an '03 Cobra up in Laurel. Didn't go all that well for me after I hit air instead of third gear. Wouldn't have mattered. I gotta get in on one of these cruises. PM me if it happens again.
