Heh, yeah...I ended up selling my old car then using that money to buy the Saleen unit. I had about +1k left over from the difference of those two transactions. I decided to just go ***** out and put in $2k of my own saved money and just get everything over with.
05GTRoadkill is installing his Saleen blower with the help of Madhouse (maybe?). I'm going to tag along and do my install with them. I'm also going to use their tuner, Andre Terranova of Houston.

well according to this website (C6 vette) the new C6 7.0L puts out 505hp 475TQ and weighs 3100lbs so figure about 430RWHP.
Compaired to the mustang
300HP 300TQ 3450lbs
A correctly setup supercharged mustang with a good driver would give that car fits. IMHO. and for the price you could probably build two mustangs. (although I don't know how much the vette is selling for)

I was asking about the C5 Z06 and C6. I know the C6 Z06 will run circles around me. If we simply do a hp/weight comparison:
C6 Z06: 440/3100 = 0.142 hp per lb
S/C Mustang: 425/3450 = 0.123 hp per lb
I would need exactly 490 rwhp to match the C6 Z06 in hp per weight. Even then, it still has better aerodynamics, tires, suspension, gearing, etc...
Oh well, all I ask is to hang with C5 Z06s and C6s...

I have a saleen supercharger with their stock tune. it put down 362rwhp. raced my buddies 2002 c5 z06 and held it to 3rd gear. going into the upper rpms of third gear he was losing me. Than came 4th and I couldn't ever read his licence plate anymore. Basicly I got spanked. his car was total stock down the the air filter and mufflers.
just saw that you going with the 8# and 39# with mass air. That my plan also with a custum tune. I think you have a great chance with those mods. Also I am running 275 35 20 and your running 18's I think that a plus for your setup
