mustang v. vette
If you asked this on a Vette Forum they would laugh like mad. What guy in his right mind would trade a faster better handling car that cost $52 grand for a slower not as good a handler that cost $ 30 or about $20 - 24 K less even up  Not to mention the Vette gets 30 mpg highway. Stangs are great cars but --------------
I might trade so I could sell it and buy an 06 and a load of other stuff, but I can't bring myself to think of owning a GM even a Vette.
I agree that there are more things to the car besides power also. Although more is better. For the price of the Vette i'm sure you could make an 05 even better.
I realize this question refers to 05's not classics, but I know a guy with a '69 Mach 1 who sold it and bought a Vette (don't know the year, but close to the Mach), anyway he found out a while back that his old Mach was for sale and bought it back. He is now trying to sell the Vette and says he would never trade a Stang for a Vette again.

1. Trade for the vette
2. Sell the vette
3. Buy 2 Mustangs

I would trade then get myself another sonic GT and my girlfriend a torch red V6, save whats left over if anything for some goodies.
Don't get me wrong, I do dig the new Vettes but even if I had the cash to afford one, I probably would still opt for a Mustang just because of how cool the styling is.
Man...toughie. I like both cars alot. Realistically, I'd have to stick with the Mustang and its 4 seats. If I were a single man, I'd probably go with the 'Vette.
I must say though, I prefer the Mustang's interior to the C5 & C6 'Vette. Besides, the Mustang can hold two BIG drinks for those road trips.

I really like the new vette and hopefully I'll have either a Z06 or GT500 in 10 years..... I parked next to a C6 and felt the car, while very sporty looking, appeared to be quite "wimpy" looking next to my big brawny 05.
