I Have No Life
I had a G35 try to get me going on an onramp.
I left it in 4rth starting at 80KM/H and up to ..uuh... past the speed limit (100km/h) and he couldn't pull.... but he wasn't moving far back either.... slightly.
If I had downshifted into 3rd on the onramp... it would have been lights out charley...

get rid of those 20's and get some light 18's and then race. don't race with 20's..you will lose a lot on the streets. they will slow you down significantly. Take it to the track and you will see how slow your times will be with 20's. Not hating..just trying to help you out..want you to win those races!

I don't underestimate any import. I used to smoke alot of Stangs in my '97 Talon Tsi AWD. The other day I was surpised by an RSX when I was barely able to get an edge on him. It was surprisingly quick, and obviously not stock! The bottom line is, you never know what the other guy has under the hood. If you do get owned, be a man about it and show respect. Don't turn tail and do a quick "ricer escape" into the first available side street. Giving the guy a thumbs up shows some class.

For the record, you are not going to be able to smell nitrous oxide when racing even your own vehicle.
And please, people.... stop using the term NOS. Its a brand name, Nitrous Oxide Systems. Nitrous oxide is represented as N20. :P

As you all know, we do not condone street racing on this site, please take it to a track for your safety and ours.
With the questions regarding the tune, You can drive around normally on a nitrous tune, your car may just run rich and not as well as it could on a n/a tune. Its not a problem.
Also since it was a 240, you are talking about a very light car that was probably stripped out, had quite a few bolt on's and possibly turbo along with a shot of nitrous. Guys will dump lots of money into imports and they will look completely stock on the outside. Good example is a 600whp Eclipse GST that is running around Birmingham here.

I must agree I am afraid... An azz woopin by any means is just an azz woopin.. You must understand, that this kind of situation is exactly what NOS is designed for..
In this situation we see a meager, mildley mannered 240 Nissan, minding his own business.. Then approaches a very hostile 2005 Mustang GT.. For heavens sakes, a standard V6 would have been enough!! But the poor guy was setup and then engaged by pretty much the best in class 2005 Mustang GT..
The wheels of Justice turned in the blink of an eye, and what once looked like a Goliath just beating the tar out of David, held true to the legend and Goliath was beaten until he submitted and begged for mercy..
Seek out and yee shall find!! Gotta be carefull these days!

I hope this is not a matter of thinking a stock 240 is anything remotely resembling fast. Obviously something was done-pretty extensive if it can even show detectable accelleration at speeds over 110mph. Stock they are dogs.

Yeah 240s don't need as much horsepower as your mustang to be as fast... the car weighs in around 2700 lbs.
I guess you've been listening to too much ricer talk... True the SR20DET is a great motor...but people sell the KA24DE short way to much... A KA24E on the other hand is crap... but the DE produces more power then a SR20 at equal boost due to .4 L as well as having better low end and midrange power.
The only reason so many people do the SR20 swap is because it is cheaper and already built for boost. oh and because Ricers think anything JDM is amazing....

SR20DET 240's are no joke. My buddy's getting the swap done in Dec. The 240sx in Japan is the equivalent of the mustang, fairly cheap and fast, tons of mods for them. The KA24DE's that they have in America are really crappy, the actual engine they use in Japan is the SR20DET which is an awesome motor.

Why would you eat nitrous? Is it so you can run to the bathroom faster?

I did some resaerch on the 240sx (brother is looking for an inexpensive car), and I love them. You can get one for 3K in good condition, then get the engine swap with the Japanese turbo engine (like stated before, the SR20DET) for another 3K and have a really good car Pretty sure some 10K more and you can have a monster.
Here's one that would surprise the heck out of anyone...438WHP, and no exterior mods except for thost kick **** tail lights, and some carbon stuff.

Dude, we're talking stock to stock, not modified internalsto a stock engine so really your argument is irrelavent. Put any real boost on a stock KA and have fun picking up all of the peices. The SR20 is much cheaper to make horsepower, that is what we are talking about. Potential of power per dollar.
