Well, my "You really are an idiot. Oh well" post was me giving up at trying to convince you of your modest intelligence.

But to be fair, I suppose "idiot" to me means "person of average intellect who takes a position contrary to my own" or "a conservative."

So really, don't be offended. You've got plenty of company.

I would display my amazing intelligence with point by point critical analysis of your posts as requested, but I'm lazy, so instead I'll name drop my college: I wish I could spend more time on TMS, but double majoring at the ol' College of William and Mary can be tough sometimes...

Behave !!

Anyhow, the Beamer (i think it was a 330i) got off to a fairly good start but it diidn't have the HP to continue what it was doing. I'm not sure if the Beamer was modified in anyway but if it was stock, a tune plus CAI and it'll be a half-decent performing car.

Wow and you are the one calling me an idiot? Too me an idiot would be anyone who calls someone else names or insults them just because they have a differing opinion. Especially if they do something like stereotype and judge a book by it's cover, then lump them all into the same group and label them "idiots" just because they disagree on things; such as you did by stating that you view all conservatives as idiots. Well I could've done the same thing but instead I decided to give you a chance and find out where you were coming from before judging you, but I guess I should've just done what you did and have figured you were just some "idiotic liberal."

And since we are dropping college names: I was accepted to among others UCSB, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and oh yeah Stanford; however I decided to go to UCSD on a full scholastic scholarship to get a degree in BioEngineering as well as attend Medical School. I don't know much about "the ol' College of William and Mary" unfortunately because I never heard of it, is it any good or do they just teach liberals how to be close minded ignorant people who at least are good at correcting other peoples grammar.

what I find most humorous about your posts...is you try (and I do mean try...and not succeed) to convince everyone of your intelligence by

1. putting other people down
2. name dropping your college (seriously, who does do that???)

There are alot of idiots who get in to "nice" schools and some very intelligent people who come out of mediocore schools.

Display your amazing intelligence? How about working on being more secure so that you do not have to resort to putting others down and name dropping schools? Are you that much of an idiot and fake, that you have to actually STATE "my amazing intelligence"?

please...I'd put money on you being a community college drop out who lives in his parent's basement; and has a chronic case of "sand in the vag".

M3's are not a joke, unless your driving a 05+ GT and know how to drive. Keep in mind, I am talking stock for stock. And a 330? why would you even bother?

grow up man...you wont get far in life with having to make your self look better by putting others down.

So adapting to the surroundings I do not think qualifies anyone as an idiot. As for the 3 Series, it is a very poor quality, slow vehicle. I again being in a very informal setting online decided to use casual language in getting right to the point, it is a "BIG PIECE OF CRAP!" Sorry if you do not think so or if what you are accustomed to or can afford is such a "high end luxury automobile" such as a 3 Series BMW, but that does not change the fact that there is nothing sporty or luxury about a 3 Series. They are slow when compared to other cars in their class and especially when you compare them to cars in their price range that also use the word "sport" to describe them. As for the overall performance and comfort/interior/luxury of the 3 Series, they are seriously lacking. Unfortunately for the prices BMW does not make a car worth purchasing until you get into their top end of the 5 Series and on up; IMO (In My Opinion). This also pertains to the M3 as far as cost vs. overall value when compared to other vehicles. Here in socal the 3 Series is a highschool girls car which also has a lot of dependability issues. I can go on and on in an in depth review of the vehicle but I have to leave now so if you would like I can further educate you on the matter later.
I couln't disagree more. BMW makes a FINE product. Their service is second to none and when compared to Ford service, they are in a different universe. Does the stardard 3 series accellerate like the Mustang GT? No. Is it engineered to? No. Will the newest M3 squash a stock Mustang GT? Yes, in spades. The new M3 will utilize a 400hp v-8 and not only will it carry 4 doors, it will crush our cars. The drawback, the $40,000+ pricetag.

These cars are not a piece of crap, believe me. They ARE expensive, not not a piece of crap by any means of measure.

The college name drop was a joke Bud...

Sort of like saying "my amazing intelligence" (which was a quote from your friend's post.)

Now this part however, is true (except its my foster parent's basement):

"I'd put money on you being a community college drop out who lives in his parent's basement; and has a chronic case of "sand in the vag". "

I'm sorry that I use the the internet to insult people and feign intelligence. I guess I do it mostly because I don't understand why I wasn't good enough for my real parents and I am also upset because sometimes I hear my foster parents talking about how I'm a "drain" and that I'm not worth what they expend for my medical treatments.

I don't know how else to express myself sometimes, try to keep that in mind =(.

Actually I do agree with you that BMW does make a fine product, but IMO anything below the 545 is not really worth the price tag they come with even if they are fine pieces of machinary, they are just not as fine as the price suggests. However we are talking about the 3 Series here. Also I in no way intended to steal any thunder from LordBritish's kill, way to go there, in fact I was trying to encourage him to take on an M3 he can take it if he knows how to drive, the key will be to get a good jump on him off the line. As for the M3 yes it is a nice car, but the current M3 is only 333bhp and starts at just over 40K and fully loaded are closer to 45-46 then you are looking at out the door around 50k and at this price Id much rather have a 300bhp mustang for 30-32out the door fully loaded or since you are spending that much money might as well get a vette. The new M3s that you mention when they come out I wouldnt be suprised if they actually start at a little more, say 42-43k and fully loaded you would be around 48 maybe 49 if they charge more for the 4door and out the door at almost 55k, for 400hp, Id either get the new Shelby, a vette or dare I say it a GTO and crush the M3s. And yes you can fairly compare these cars to the M3 because that is why BMW makes the M3, to compete with these cars, it is their "sports car" no matter how nice the interior might be. You cant forget that even though the M3 is a BMW, which is supposedly synonomous with luxury, it is what they consider a sports car, so when comparing it to many other companies out there you can find a much better buy at less money (even the STis, Evos, new Infinity GTRs, and several lexuses and others if you want to look outside the domestic market) or for the same money buy a much better car (corvette).

So if you want the status then a BMW is worth it (again IMO only above the 545) but if you want best bang for your buck then not so much.

If this is true, then I am sorry for the hand life dealt you, however no reason to take it out on anyone else.

If not and this is another one of your "jokes," then not funny; not only would you be an idiot but would have a real bad and sick sense of humor as well, which is not funny at all.

Not everything is about bang for the buck Rrobello, otherwise we would all be driving around in stripped Fox bodies w/ outlaw motors.

No one is going to argue if you say say the GT500, Corvette, Evo and STi are faster for cheaper than the M3, but when you say "3 series are pieces of crap" or claim to waste M3s regularly in your mildly modded GT...

Also, how many BMWs have you driven? And why is the 5 okay where the 3 is crap? Oh well, meer ma and peer pa are yelling at me again. g2g

The M3 can hit 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. So you're telling me that with your straightforward mods, you can hit 60 significantly faster than 4.8 seconds? I'd like to believe that, but based upon previous posts on this site in months gone by (where others have challenged M3s), it seems unlikely.

(Interesting perspective, coming from a Stang owner): Funny I dont recall Ford ever claiming that the mustang be a luxury vehicle as does BMW; I bought the car for its looks and power at a very reasonable price. As for what I would expect to get for 30K (as a base vehicle w/ no added options and before taxes and registration) from a car that boasts luxury, comfort, quality of craftsmanship and great looks and feel (especially of the interior); not to mention "sportiness," it would definately be a lot more than that of what the 3 Series BMWs offer.
So you're calling BMWs crap because you're choosing to evaluate the bottom-of-the-line entry level model? Is it BMWs fault that you're trashing their entry level vehicle because you choose NOT to evaluate the mid-range or upper level 3-Series? Using that logic, I could just as easily say that the Mustang V6 is crap.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

no not everything is about bang for your buck, I agree there, but IMO the 3series bmws do not offer anything worth paying that kind of money for.

"but when you say "3 series are pieces of crap" or claim to waste M3s regularly in your mildly modded GT..." but when what? Are you gonna finish what you were saying? and I do not know what you consider mildly modded, nor do I claim to have a lot of mods but I do have 309rwhp and 317ft/lbs, that combined with the 4.10 ford racing gears makes a 333bhp M3 an easily beatable car.

I have driven many BMWs, I owned a 540i. Out of the BMWs that are currently out the only ones I havent driven are the Z4M Coupe, M6, and a Z8. I have also driven many exotic cars as well. The reason I say the upperend of the 5 Series is worth it and not the 3series is because they are better built cars and almost justifiable in the price by themselves, and so if you are into the status symbol of a BMW and would like a great car and are willing to spend a little extra then yes this is were I would start to justify buying a BMW.

"The M3 can hit 0-60 in 4.8 seconds."- Actually I believe you are thinking about the 360bhp M3 CSL which is actually 4.9secs and you can not purchase here. The American counterpart has only 333bhp and is quite a bit slower in real road applications then BMW would like you to think or has published.

and no I wasnt calling ALL BMWs crap based on their entry level, just their entry level series and yes I think all of the 3 series line is not worth the money, I guess crap was too harsh a word as the car is not crap in and of itself, just (again IMO) when compared to comprable cars in its class and price range.

What an awesome thread. It entertained me for a good 3 minutes, keep up the good work.

P.S. I, myself, have beaten a few M3s. Not the latest MY (model year), but M3s none the less.

Based on paper, the M3 should have taken the GT, but there are so man variables.
Best comment from that BMW thread.
