Cobra or Boss?
For me the Boss, for three main reasons:
1. It is naturally aspirated (I always prefer N/A over FI)
2. It is lighter than the GT500 (although the current GT500 is lighter than previous years)
3. It is a special edition and is more exclusive then the GT500
Hard to wrong with either one though, both are great cars

GT500 = F15
Boss = F16
It will be interestig how the Boss and GT500 go down in history. I'm willing to bet that in 20 years from now, the Boss will somehow mystically become the fastest S-197 ever to have scorched the road both on the road course and at the strip, then there will be the geezers with thier Terminators telling Boss and GT500 guys thier both full of crap.

... but if we're talking about the GT500 vs Boss, I'd still take the Shelby.
Could I get a Boss with the GT500s more toned-down styling?
I love my Boss and after having a hard time finding one I almost went with a GT500. But after doing a couple of autocrosses with both I'm glad I went with the Boss. It just performed better. And the GT500 was modded. The Boss also got most of the attention at the events.
