Cobra or Boss?

I had to vote Cobra just for the fact it that you can get it in drop top. If I am going to spend that much money on a car, I want to be able to enjoy it as well as drive it.

In terms of performance, hardly. The termi was having trouble with the introduction of the 2007 GT500 (last test I saw showed parity in a drag race, but on the road course the GT500 had it handily beat) as of 2010 and 2011 its no contest, the newer cars blow the termi into the weeds leaving only the terminators price/performance ratio being better (one of the advantages of building off a chassis that been around since 1979).

GT500
Honestly, stock Mustangs are awesome. Roush, Saleen, Shelby, all the better. GT500 is the front runner, with the Roush Stage 3 running along side it. Full respect for the GT500. The Boss? It is 2Xs and regular Gt, but it is not a GT500.
By the way, I would still love to buy your SGT in a heartbeat, but I haven't had a raise in 3 years. Meanwhile, in that time period, one of the owners gets a F430 Spider (2009, in addition to his 2005 F360 Spider, Ford GT, and 365 GTB4), another gets a Z4M Coupe, and another one shows up today with a convertible Maserati he bought this weekend. No, it's not wealth envy, it is just one of those things that makes you go HMMmmmm...time to look for a better company, or start my own.

Strictly speaking, except for the Chrysler and stillborn Series 1 stuff, The bulk of Shelby's cars have been "Powered By Ford" - I actually feel that the Cobra name is inappropriate for a Mustang since the original Cobras were pure sports cars. I'd much rather see Ford apply the moniker to an actual honest-to-god sports car rather than a sports sedan like the Mustang.

Anyone remember that Top Gear test where Roush killed Shelby GT500 on the track? Sure, that was a 2007-2009 model, but still ...
Cobra would be my choice. Until 2011 GT came out, in my optinion 2003-2004 Cobra was best overall modern Mustang built for the price.

Both are in the 1G range, less weight for the Boss, more power on the '11 GT500, head to head should be pretty close performance wise. Except there are no news for the '12 GT500 and there might be a surprise.

I gotta go with the GT500.... although the Boss will have more potential because of less weight and soon to come SC/Turbo options but i just like the GT500 better(colors and the 5.4)
