5.0 or v6 with procharger supercharger
Given the choice which one would you pick.
2011 Stang 5.0, 3.73 gears, 412 hp or
2011 Stang V6 , 2.73 gears plus procharger super charger, 475 hp.
Paid 29 k for 5.0
Paid 23k for V6 plus 6 k for supercharger = 29k
Being 29 K paid for each car, which one would you take and why. What are the pros and cons to buying the procharger or the 5.0?

I'd take the 5.0 because that V8 has a lot more potential than the V6. And even with the procharger the V8 would still have more low end torque. Ohhh and the V8 is still faster in the 1/4 mile

No matter what exhaust you put on it, it will still sound like a v6, and you're basically maxed out at that 475hp or in danger of blowing the motor, where as the v8 just got started with bolt ons...
torque, sound, v8.. yea v8.

I think 475 out of the V6 would shorten it's life span as well, while the V8 is almost in the same hp range in stock condition. The V6 will never sound like a V8, regardless of what exhaust you put on it. When people see the V6, they'll think: "****, that's fast...but why waste the money? You should've just gotten the V8 in the first place." So obviously, I'd go with the V8.

Every way I look at it, the V6 is a waste of money. If that's all you could afford at the time and wanted to add a supercharger later down the road, then that's one thing. But if you can already afford a GT for the same price, then I see no reason not to get it. Unless you just really really wanna be known as that guy with a fast V6.
