Ok Xellow...

1. Why is the GTO a Cavalier?
2. Why is the GTO so expensive?

Why is the GTO an imported Austrailian car with a Vette engine in it?

Probably cause the Aussies still get most of the good stuff. Although, anyone who eats BBQ for breakfast and wrestles alligators regularly is not exactly Honda Accord material.

Well you see. inorder to impress real men you must have an overly sized Naturaly asperated expensive moter because Supercharged (04 SVT COBRA) is cheating. This will keep my cost up making only my image to appear expensive wile getting actually less performance. But as a GM Fan I must admit its worth the extra price to be able to at least be a regular GT. Mwa haha

5.7 vs a 4.6.

6-spd vs a 5-spd.

IRS vs. solid axle.

Did I do good?

Fall of 05, GT ($30K) + dealer markup, GTO $33K (with rebates).

Hey, this is fun!

GTO production is limited enough now that I actually don't look for big rebates.

lol...Rob is taking this way too seriously.

But, just to keep him happy, I'll stay on "my side"...A rwd Cavalier with a 3k rebate is still a $32,000 rwd Cavalier.

Its um, .....ah,.....er,..... clean styling, yeah that's it!

Less part variations between models (GTO-grand prix) keeps the costs down...for GM.

Well at least it is easily identifiable as a pontiac. Though you may not be able to tall the difference between models.
