2004 Convertible vs 2005 Coupe
#1
Ok
Here is my problem. I am just graduating college and I'm getting my first car. I have decided on a Mustang but I don't know exactly which one. I am getting the car in September and I know that the 2004 convertibles will come down in price some. A convertible would be nice to have. However, I also am podering on the 2005 coupe which with an interior upgrade should put the prices in roughly the same neighbourhood. So my question is this......Should I take the convertible (2004) or grab the 2005. I would really like the convertible but the new 2005's look great.
Please tell me what you think....I would appreciate it.
Thanks
-Jeff

As long as you have other transportation, it won't hurt you to wait and get the '05 vert in the spring. If you can't wait, the choice is really up to you. Go with what you really want. Depending on where you live, think about how much use you will really get out of the vert.
Either car will give you large amounts of satisfaction. Drive both and decide. I am guessing you will see a large improvement in the '05 and go with it.

To me it's not a question at all. The 05 would be my obvious choice. THat car is B E A U T I FUL.
maybe this will help you decide:

Buy a beater in the fall and wait until spring to get the car you want. I know from experience that it sucks having a huge car payment when you're first starting out and don't have a buck to your name. If you have a car already, hold on to it a while longer.

you should wait a little before getting a new car.
heck, you can even wait a few more years and afford an 05 gt conv or newer, even a boss if they come out

Verts are great. If you don't want to wait for the new Mustang do what I did. I bought a 95 GT vert so I can cruise top down until Ford makes the new Mustang I want. Saved a whole lot of money by going that route.

Im not sure if I totally like the 2005 as opposed to the 2004. The 2004 is more muscular and it gives that feeling of power etc. Seems like the 2005 is more stream lined...but it has a great interior as well. So I don't know.

Seeing both cars up close, side by side, the 05 is by far much more muscular IMO.

I'm still thinking June 06 is far away and we might see something at the 2005 NAIAS (cough...Boss...cough) to hold us over.
