My friend from work has a Sable and she insists that it can beat my Mustang, I have high doubts, but she is persistant and even wants to race, what do you guys think?

 

Well, we have a 2002 Taurus V6 DOHC and it can go pretty well, but i dont think it could take a V6 mustang

i'd say the mustang though

 

I think the BHP for the mustang is actually 193, and the torque is somewhere around 230. the sable may have a little more power, but given that the mustang has a bit more torque and weighs a couple hundred pounds less, you should be able to beat her sable without too much problem.

 

I dunno, our 2001 v6 auto stang was a dog. It seemed to gasp for air over 3500rpm and it just felt so underpowered. Its a toss up between the 2 cars I think.

 

If its the 3.0 Vulcan motor, at 145HP, you should have no trouble

The 200HP Duratec motor is pretty good

Given the weight difference you should have no probelm

I have an 04 V6 and my friends mercury sable bet me, I got him off the line but the 3 gear passed me up.
