'13 Coyote vs '12 392 SRT8
#21
I personally love mustangs, but I m also a car enthusiast as well. That being said I have had experience against a 12 srt8 in my 12 gt auto with tune only and recently a couple of 15 scat pack 6.4s at the track and on the street, in my current 14 manual with tune and xpipe. The 12 srt8 vs my 12 coyote auto was on a 30 roll which I ll be honest I lost beecause I didnt know how to drive from a roll(numb me was in OD), so I lost but when I asked to race from a dig he would refuse saying that I would win..smh. Recently at my local track ran against a 15 chally scat pack stock on radials and he beat me by 2 tenths of a second but I was on ****ty street tires and didnt get blown, lost by his fender. Then over the weekend had a chance to race another 15 chally scat pack on street tires and basically was a drivers race. We ran about 4 times and it was 2-2, pretty much depended on reaction and shifting on my part. So to answer ur question I believe you should win with ur mods.
Side note: I have always liked the challenger but chose a mustang because at the time the srt was the only one worth getting and I couldnt afford it. Now with the new scat pack at 38k, it is definetly worth the consideration. I love my car and mustangs in general, but my next car may just be a scat pack challenger or charger (if kid(s) becomes a variable).

I'm with you on that. It is a drivers race with the best traction. My next car is a Hellkitty or the Scat Pack putting a blower on. They are the king of the street and one hell of a comfortable car to go out or travel in.

Jazzman, I couldnt agree with you more. The moment I saw one in person in sublime green :-O...wow. Literally was browsing local dealerships the next day, but I need to hold off longer to not take such a big hit. Which is why I was so eager to compare them to mine with current mods. I told myself if they are close in comparison in regards to a 1/4mile/street, then I would hold off at least another year. However if I was in the market currently for a new muscle car then I would go with the scat pack over the 15 mustang, because personally I prefer the 10-14 body styles over the new one; plus at the price of a premium mustang gt you get a little more from the scat pack.
