Who would win? Stock, the 911 comes with around 325hp, so I know the odds are in it's favor. If so, what would it take to beat one? Would I stand a chance with my current mods? I'm not talking about the S model either. That thing does 0-60 in 4.4s!

Road & Track had the S doing 0-60 in 3.9, i think they had the regular carrera around 4.4. Itd take a lot to beat one of those. Not to mention they are probably a lot easier to drive fast.

Because the awd Carrera is based on the rwd 911, both models share the same interior and also the same powerplants — a 325-bhp, 3.6-liter engine on the base C4 and a 355-bhp, 3.8-liter version on the 4S. According to the factory, the base Carrera 4 goes from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds, while the S takes 4.8 sec. to reach the same speed. Top speeds are 174 mph and 179, respectively.
Sounds pretty close to a GT...

You're talking about the all wheel drive versions now. You didn't mention that initially, and the RWDs are faster. Not to mention that most of the ones you would come across on the street would be RWD. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...3&page_number=3 3.9sec . I didn't think itd be that big of a difference between RWD and AWD though.
By the way, I love your car. Black is where it's at.

it will probably be easy to keep up w/ one in a straight line. good luck if there is a bend in the road. for the base carrera most times are 4.8 0-60 and 13.3 in the 1/4

The Porsche will kill you in every arena unless you go the SC route and even then you may not have much of a chance. Those cars are awesome. If there's any bend in the road all you will see is tail lights. But keep your racing on the track please.

Its all about the weight transfer in the drag. Its already above the wheels in the 911. These are very difficult cars to drive properly though, cause they understeer like a FWD, but swing out the rear like a FR car at the corner exit (oversteer).
Don't forget that all the boxer-engine Porsches sound like 1960s VW Beetles (gack). Boo-urns for a $100k+ car. Rather have a mustang, or a 928 S4.
