Like I said on another site, "I'm never gonna live this down." :bang:

my daughter's boyfriend whooped me,

Then I remembered I had WAY too many psi, made an adjustment and...

put him in his place

9.847 in an eight of a mile?

Take off your emergency brake! Seriously...a GT should be 2/3 of that or even less. Stocker's run 13.xxx in a quarter and the 1st eigth is the fastest acceleration area.

That et would put your 1/4 mile times in the 19 - 20 second range.....what's up with that?

hmmm, that does seem awful slow. My brother-in-law wants to race me with his 2002 Chevy Duramax Diesel pickup His truck weights over 7200 lbs and runs 12.8 in the 1/4 mile. I hope to get low 13's but don't think I'd get into the 12's.

My first night of racing, my best time was 13.58 in the 1/4. On that run, I had a time 8.78 in the 1/8 mile.

My slowest 1/8 was a 9.54 with a 14.46 1/4.

Yes, this is very slow for an 1/8th. No offense of course......but you two drive slow enough to drive Ms. Daisey.

The last half of the 1/4 is the fastest as your average speed is higher.

Those were my thoughts exactly as I watched. No trying to flame you, and I haven't even had mine on a track....but what's up with those times?

Jay... before you flame someone, you really need to know what he_ll you are talking about!! Where did you get the notion that a GT could run an 1/8 mile in about 6.5 sec (2/3 of 9.8)???

A car running 6.5 in the 1/8, would run low 10's in the 1/4. A 9.847 would be about low 15's in the 1/4. A good rule of thumb is that the 1/4-mile time is about 1.55x the 1/8-mi time. Maybe you need to sign up for Drag Racing 101... :nono:

just look at my SIG, my 1/8 compared to my 1/4, just like don_w said, high 9s in the 1/8 = low 15s in the 1/4
