acadian, it is an apples to oranges type discussion here, but this board is open to all types of car talk. In the end, we are all after the same thing, performance, style, a certain culture and He came here asking a valid question. He should not be told to leave. Obviously he's trying to decide on which one he would like to possibly purchase.
I didn't ask him to leave... just to go talk about the C6 on a Corvette forum. And sure, yo can compare apples and oranges... but not worth yet another thread IMO. I say wait until the Cobra comes out and then, compare the C6 to that.

Hey you have no business talking mustangs with us, you own a PT cruiser for goodness sake! Everybody here that doesn't own a mustang, and therefore, doesn't bleed Ford blue through and through get the ____ out!

Seriously though, get a clue fanboy :notnice: [/b][/quote]
You are telling me to get out because I don't drive a Ford? When all I was doing was defending the Mustang against comparing it to the C6? First of all, the PT is my wife's car. She had the car before I met her. I drive it for now instead of my '86 F150 until I rebuild the motor. I talked her into selling the PT for the '05 Mustang. Second of all, don't tell me what I have business doing. Or anyone else, for that matter. I have as much right to be here as you do. If everyone on here who didn't own only Fords was forced to leave... there wouldn't be a lot of people here. I came on here to get information on the new Mustang. This is not a Ford only forum... it's a Mustang forum. My first car was a '92 5.0, and I have ordered the '05 GT. So, I have no right to be here? Tell me to get the ___ out of here again.

Sorry Ladies and Germs, but I just saw the new Corvette today when I went by the local Ford dealership to ask them when they expect the new mustang. (In another month or two, ouch!) This is a mega auto dealership w/ Chevy/Dodge/Ford and a few others at the same site. The new black Vette was VERY NICE!!! If $$$ was not an issue I would buy one in a split second over the Mustang. Heck I would buy both and drive them every other week. Don't get me wrong I love mustangs but I must give GM credit for a very beautiful car. Much better than the '04 in all ways. It reminded me of the late 60's-early 70's models. Very retro but modern. But I am looking forward to my new Mustang GT sitting in my garage next summer.

Get out of here fanboy!!! :nono:

You obviously didn't catch up on the sarcasm of that little paragraph. I was just trying to show you how nieve you sounded in telling the thread starter to go to a corvette forum when he was comparing it to the '05 Mustang. But you obviously caught on to your hypocrisy so I'll just rest my case B)

EDIT: So this has some substance to it, the Mustang and Corvette are compared because they're both American icons, the GTO hasn't really taken off yet, they square off in Trans-Am racing, etc.

They're also absolutely fabulous values for what you get in their respective market niches.

Trans-Am? Mustangs=yes; Vette's and GTO's=No. I think you are thinking about Grand-Am (and GAC) or World Challenge.

I agree 100%. The Mustang and the Vette are the best bang for the buck in their (different) class.

You are comparing apples and oranges yourself. Me telling someone to go to a Corvette forum to rave about the new Vette (because they are trying to unfairly compare it to the Mustang) is not hypcritical because I happen to be driving my wife's Pt Cruiser. I own a Ford truck... My first car was a Mustang, and I have had a Ford ever since. You telling me to get out of a Mustang forum because I happen to not have a Mustang at the moment... when I have ordered an '05... is just ignorant. And now you are calling me a hypocrit when I wasn't at all being hypocritical. And I'm curious... why do you call me fanboy? Explain that.
