When Does x-Plan Pin "go thru"

An email from Ford is sent to a person who gives out a pin to friend/family telling them that pin has been used for a purchase. Does the dealer put this pin info thru when they place the order and get a DORA or do they do it when the car arrives at the dealership?

Or is there some other key factor, line signing a p.o.?

They didn't ask for mine until I signed the paperwork at delivery.

We do not actually need the pin number until we are ready to report the vehicle sold and claim the x-plan commission.
