I have just recently ordered an 06 Satin silver GT 5 Speed Manual w/ IUP and I have a couple of Questions. I have a vehicle confirmation sheet and it has a priority code of 80 on it. If priority means what I think it means than this number could mean if and when I will get the car. Just what is this prority # all about. Also could I use this VOC sheet to track my order?

 

Priority codes are assigned by the ordering dealer in numerical values from 10 [most critical] to 99 [do not schedule]. Each dealer has their own system and ones dealers priority codes have NO bearing on another dealer.
If I were to order 5 Mustangs for my dealership and prioritized them 15, 16, 17 , 18, 19 then barring any commodity issues then the 1st one to be scheduled would be the 15. It does not matter what my lowest number is, it could be 50 and if that were the only order I had in the system it would still be my highest priority and would schedule.
Your 80 could or could not be a problem depending on how many other Mustand orders your dealer has in the system.
You can use the VOC to track the car, the info you will need off it is the dealer code, your body type, and the order #.

Either by calling your salesperson or calling the ERL for satus. Until it gets scheduled, the status will not change. There are other threads on TMS where you can get the 800 number but since it technically is a restricted dealer number I can not give it out.
