Shouldn't it be time for 08 Order Guide?

Seems like that should be out soon. Any info? Will it be posted here as a sticky when available?

Thanks.

I'm guessing it will be out by 13 April. Hopefully sooner. Not sure if it will be a sticky but it will most likely get a lot of traffic early on so it will be hard to miss if you use the "New Posts" feature.

Keep in mind that Job 1 will be in July this year, not June as it was last year.

With the ordering banks opening up in mid-April, I have a good feeling that the guides will be out next Monday, April 2nd. Just a guess though, but being it is the beginning of the month, and a few weeks before the banks open, its a good guess.

When the order guide is out, do they announce the pricing also?

No, pricing won't be out for several months later.

That's what I was thinking. Should be announced when you can order. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to tell X-plan pricing.

Don't kill the messanger. You can spec out a car, but there won't be any pricing. The usually don't have pricing till closer to Job 1 production. Its like that for any car. The guide will be out 1st, but there won't be any prices for a while.

Sure you just give them a non refundable deposit and wait in line and pay what is asked of you then ! if opens in April then no price for months to come ?

Okay, 1st off, any REAL dealership that cares about its customers will not make you give a non-refundable deposit on a Mustang. If they specifically say "the deposit is non-refundable" WALK AWAY!!!

2nd, what is so hard about this. Remember, its the guide 1st, that is out. Remember when the GT500 order guide came out? There were several members on here who had VOC's with all the options, but no prices listed. Its because they got the order placed so early, the prices weren't firmed up by Ford yet. Hey, I could be wrong (it happens sometimes ), but most of the time, when the order banks open, and dealers are required to put in some orders for system fill, the DORA that comes back the next day doesn't have prices on it. Our 1st 2008 Escape we ordered back in December didn't have prices, but a few months later it did.

For anyone who wants to order a 2008 Mustang. All you have to do, is get the salesperson/manager who is assisting you, to write what the agreed upon price will eventually be, on the buyers order, AND get a copy!! If its an X-Plan deal, have them write on the order in the price column "X-Plan price- will rewrite order with actual price when prices become available". If you still don't feel confident that they are on the up and up, send me your specs, and I can price out the car when I get the price list myself.

Thanks for the info. That's interesting. Always nice to have an inside man on the "other side".
