Stock hood fluttering at high-speed
I run a track in Southern California that is high speed. Some of the fast cars can hit 150mph. I usually top out about 135mph. This high-speed causes my stock aluminum hood to flutter more than I feel it should.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a cure other then a replacement hood?
My car is a 2012 and does not have hood vents. I wonder if aftermarket hood vents would help with this? Those of you who have a 13 on with the hood vents, has this occurred at high-speed's with you?

Couple bits of input on this.
First, 2011-2012's are kinda famous for this. The 2013/2014's don't have this issue largely due to the vents
I got this at Watkims Glen last year and it turned out that the underbody tray came loose in the aft area and was flapping at high speed. That was creating pressure pulses in the engine compartment large enough to flutter the hood. As soon as I reattached the underbody tray, the flutter stopped. So check that. Also consider adding ventilation to the underbody tray as pressure can be released thru that too
Or buy a new racing hood

The underbody tray is fully intact but will be completely covered by next weekend. Installing an APR carbon fiber splitter to replace my boss splitter. Maybe this will help?
While at the track I noticed a lot of guys use the same cut in hood vents made by a local company. Far cheaper than ordering a tiger racing carbon fiber hood for $1600. That hood is bad a$$ though!
