High speed air turbulence
Those of you who track your cars know that we have to have both windows down while driving on track.
I have removed my backseat sometime ago and noticed a considerable difference in the air turbulence at high speeds. Last week I also removed my passenger seat (~50lbs) for my track day on the 16th. My lap times decreased (1.1sec) from my previous outing two weeks ago but as a result the air turbulence is unbearable.
Have any of you experienced this and what can be done to lessen it?

You mean like window nets?
I know that nets are not allowed because you need to be able to reach your arm completely through the open window

Do you have a rear seat delete blocking the trunk? If not, that opening seems to cause bad cabin air pulses... I have yet to remove the front seat in mine so I can't speak to how that may affect air turbulence in cabin.
Are you sure both windows are required to be down? Some clubs I've run with require only windows with a person next to them to be down so if I'm without a passenger just my driver window can be down.. Worth double checking.

When I first remove my backseat I did not have a delete kit. Turbulence was unbearable due to incoming air going all the way back to the trunk. The very next day I made my own backseat delete to deflect that incoming air.
It got far worse when removing the front seat.
As far as having the passenger window up, Id have to check with my run group.
