Playing with the PJ at Infineon (Sears Point)

Had a blast. I now need new brake pads. On the PJs the vent for the rear end is in a bad place and add to that the rear end maybe being over filled a bit, the expansion of the fluid and the side to side movement and you get a leaking vent tube. Just enough to make the rear end housing and watts link messy. Going to have to add a hose and catch can if I do more track days. Somewhere I recall reading another PJ had the same issue.

There was only one other Mustang there...a 94 former Grand Am racer.

Leaking axle breather is a common ailment for S197s that see the road course.

On our race car, we just attach a tube and run it to a catch can (read: empty dasani bottle).
Shelby has a reservoir that is mounted to the top of the rear suspension cavity that allows drainback ($140), and Rehagen sells cooler kits that will deal with this but they're notably more expensive (and probably overkill unless you're at the track quite a bit).

Thanks. I was thinking of the tube and home designed catch can.

It's $129 at ShelbyStore, quick and easy install and works well. Definitely not worth the price if you're a welder yourself, though, can fab it up quite easily I'd think:

Thanks for the link. I found it at Champion Mustang for a little less. I am waiting for it to arrive.
