Mustang Roundup IX - Hasting Nebraska - September 2019
#21
Car is back together including an oil change and re-torqueing the front suspension. I took it for a quick test drive and everything feels really good, but I need to get it on an alignment rack before driving it too much. Only 2 more weekends to finish getting it ready for 3 day event at Carolina Motorsports Park. I will post some video after in the appropriate thread Sorry OP for hi-jacking your thread.

Ford Engineer drove down from Dearborn, MI to the Motorsports Park Hastings, Nebraska Mustang Roundup a manufacturer's 2020 Ford Mustang GT500 yet to be released to the public. The Mustang Roundup was the 9th such event and occurred September 12-15, 2019. Video shows the car doing one of its hot laps on the track. The Mustang GT500 is exiting turn 12, enters and completes turn 13 and accelerates done the front straightaway. See YouTube link:

Thanks for posting John, and it lets folks know that there is often something cool brought to the Mustang Roundup each year , often before the public sees it , or right at introduction . We have had a Ford GT there, early Boss 302s, 3 of the 37 2015 GT350Rs showed up in 2015, and now the GT 500 . This is just a short list , as this event often brings Ford Engineers down to compete and Bart Marowelli ( Ford Engineer ) did drive down the GT 500 from near Ann Arbor, ran it at the track , and drove home. Impressive machine and easy to see it is a rocket down the straight!
Next year will be the 10th Anniversary , and the track is looking at maybe scheduling the event for the first week in October , because September is so incredibly busy with National Racing ( both road racing and autocross ) , Major Car Shows, etc., so you may want to look up the survey on www.racemph.com and give your input. Hope to see more of you there in 2020, as this is a bucket list event , and we have been assured Ford Engineers will be present again ( they have been at the event every year ). See what surprise they bring to the track in 2020.
PS - John got the 2nd place trophy in the Stock Class in his Black Mustang! Way to go, John, and again, thanks for posting the GT 500 video.
