Below is a link to some photos I took (Using Dave Diehl's Camera) at the 4-22-06 American Iron Series at Mid-Ohio. Dave (Black Horse on my local Mustang site) is driving the #46 'Make a Wish' SVT Cobra.

Dave finished 7th in the Saturday race, and 6th in the Sunday race.

I had a GREAT time, and will be attending more American Iron races in the future. I'll also be taking a High Performance Driving Education course in the Mach sometime this summer.

Great pictures, I was really surprised to see the 65 coupe.
I thought there was only fox chassis or newer Mustangs in
that series.

Smugmug wouldn't open for me, I'll have to try again later. Is Dave the guy we hung out with on the Grand Am weekend? I'm terrible with names.

I was at Gingerman this weekend, crewing on the RX-3 for the SCCA Nationals. It was kinduva weak turnout... Only 9 cars in out run group that included GT-1, 2, and 3. Might have had something to do with NASA being at Mid-O, or maybe it was the 4 inches of snow that we got last year. I posted a few pictures here:carnuts.ws

Hey Dan. Yeah, Dave was the guy we were hanging out with last year. One cool (maybe) bit of information about the NASA Nationals this season is that they are thinking about having a 'Standing Start'. That would be COOL!

Sorry about the small turnout at Gingerman. We'll have to meet up again this year at some race.

The Smugmug seems to be working for me. I may go ahead link some more pictures.

Cool pictures you posted. Love the #44 Mustang!!

That's Phil Lasco's car. He just got it last spring. It was the blue and yellow ACS car that Boris Said drove in Trans Am a few years ago. He made the mistake of starting the race on rain tires, since the weater was looking a little iffy. 700hp on a dry track will burn up a set of rains in a hurry, and the tires really went off a few laps into the race. Tom Patton ended up winning overall in the Tiger, but he had a really good fight with the Porsche. It might of been a really boring race without the GT-2 cars.

How'd Dave like the new track surface? It figures that they'd fix the track the year the Runoffs move away. SCCA's only running one national there this year, but I'll be going down there for most of the spectator weekends also. ALMS/SWC is less than a month away.
