Limerock on Toyo R888's

Impressed with the tires so far. Less grip than R1's but not by much!

And chasing down a GT3

Nice work!

Interesting line through turn 2. Staying tucked to the inside instead of swinging right towards the turn in cone. I'm guessing with the speed you carry through turn 1 it's not efficient to try to get to the outside of the track?

The faster way thru is that line. Racing line is even further left. Tends to be the most grip thru the line I take there too. Sacrificial corner... Such a fun momentum track!

Nice, looks like fun! I'd like to get down to Limerock this year maybe . . . .

Are you running new / different brake pads? Can't hear them any more.

I put in a set of XP12's for this event. I had them laying around. They don't handle deep late braking but I backed off a little and they did great. Same rear pads as last year

Limerock is a blast. Highly recommend going!

I'm headed there again in May and I'm bringing the BFG R1's - I want to hit 1.00's which I think is achievable on those tires. We shall see

What time in May are you going? If I have my car ready by then I would love to go to Limerock! I'm sure I could get a two of my buddies to come with me as well. Harry's Lap Timer is through your phone correct?

I'll be going with Audi Club on May 13 & 14. Usually a fun event. Next one after that is Palmer in June I think

Yes Harry's lap timer with OBDII interface. Incredible app. It's why I keep getting iPhones.

Did you guys see the SCCA weekend event at Limerock over Memorial day weekend? Looks like a great opportunity to do a track day there on one day (Thursday I think?) and then hang around to watch the races over the weekend . . . they are offering pit tours thorugh the SCCA thing . . . let me know if you want more info and I can find it.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to that Palmer event too, see you there.

And there is anothere thread on here with all d's details of the lap timer and OBDII interface, reminds me I need to order that stuff soon!

I've only ever driven two laps on a road course and that was at the Track Attack with the GT350R at Limerock! I can understand why it is so addictive. If I lived anywhere near that track I would ask for all my years worth of presents in the form of lap time!

Didn't see the SCCA one for Memorial Day weekend but it sounds fun!

Hope to see you at Palmer!

Yup, quite addictive. It gets a little expensive too unfortunately. But very worth it!

I think I might try and do 3 or 4 track days a year and fill the rest of my time with Autocross. I think that sounds like a good mix this way it doesn't get so expensive as you say. The tires and brake pads will add up real quick!!

good plan... I never bother with auto-x now cause the road courses are so much more fun. But driving is driving! And yes auto x is lots cheaper!

Right. AutoX if fun, but the problem is even if you do 10 runs they are about a minute each. So after the whole day you have 10 minutes of driving. At OTDs and HPDEs you get 4 or 5x 20 minute sessions, so a lot more seat time.
