I have heard that leaving the car hidden in the garage for the entire winter can have bad effects on the tires. Is this true?

For those in the areas with snow, what are your plans when you put your car away for hibernation?? Is there anything special that needs to be done to the car for prep?

My main reason is to avoid salt and snow driving. If the weather is clear and the roads are dry I would love to bring it out for the occansional holiday spin.

I have a 91 Explorer to drive for the snowy/salty days.

look through the car care section. Already lots of topics on storing the car in the winter. I'm closing this one.
