First of all, I live in an old house, so the Garage is too small to park my mustang in it. Instead, I bought one of those Portable Car Ports for my driveway. This works out good because it keeps the morning dew and sand off my car.

However, The neighborhood cats have found a warm place to sleep at night!!! Every morning I get up now, my car is covered with cat paw prints and cat hair. This is driving me nuts! What can I do to keep them away? Besides, tieing my dog to the car, or sitting out there with a BB Gun...

Thanks

Your best bet is to place a cover on the car.

Yup, car cover is the deal for you. Lots of advantages besides just keeping the critters off the paint.

Your best bet is a 12 gauge shotgun (guaranteed or money back).

I have a car cover too, but since this car is my daily driver... It's too much of a pain to keep putting the cover on. That's why I got the car port that is closed in on all 4 sides and I can just drive in and zip up the door... The cats just go under it.

Tell your neighbors that you don't apreciate thir cats climbing on your car at night. if they don't do anything about it, get a BB gun and stake out your yard. Wait for the cts to come around, and pop them in the rear end with it. They'll probably never come near your yard again.

Here are some ways of deterring cats from getting into gardens. With some creative thinking, it may work for your problem.

Here's an option from Ford, maybe Kevin's got the P/N.

But I don't think they have sunroofs for Mustangs yet:

Here's a vid of the Ford Sportka's sunroof option:

Ford's (little known) sunroof option

I tried catnip. Now the only difference is I have drugged-out cats sleeping on my car.

If you don't want to hurt the cat get a Hav-A-Hart trap and when you catch them take them to the animal shelter. If inflicting pain is what you seek..........bait some Rat traps and place them around your car. Use the big rat traps not the little mouse traps.

Elecrtic fence charger works great on cats and dogs if the dogs stream hits the wheels.

Enough with the hurting animals. Geez. Best way is to contact your local humane society and find out any tips from them.

There are 2 or 3 cats that I see all the time and I don't think anyone owns them because they don't have collers. The problem is, my next door neighbor feeds them so they hang around. darn them!

just randomly hit your panic button on your keyless remote, and just pray the cat doesn't comeback down with all of his claws extended

Well, my uncle used to think that a .45 was the quickest and most effective way to keep cats off his property period...and not that it didn't work...but I do agree with mystic...would hate to have some kid come up to my door asking why the heck his cat's headless body was lying out in my front yard!! I would get a car cover, personally...
