It's Maguire's!
There is a new high-grade wax they are offering which I will be trying soon. I use Zymoil's cleaner-polish to get the shine first.
I have a little hand buffer right now, but I think I'm going to purchase a large one, so that i can work like a man =)

I've been using the Meguirs stuff for awhile. Works very well. I've tried Zaino, it did good, but not for that price.
Meguirs is coming out with their NXT synthetic line. Its supposed to be the best. Can't wait to see it.

Zaino and Pinnacle are the best, yet expensive, I have used, but I am eager to try the new Maguires wax I keep hearing about, which scothew mentioned.
I used to use their Maguires gold class products on my V6 but I noticed my paint was little duller after a few cleanings. Maybe it just needed a claybar but I traded the car in before getting a chance to do it.

The Meguiars process I use if I am getting the car ready for a show or I know I am gonna be out doing 'stang stuff all weekend.

I have heard great things about Zaino, but haven't tried it yet. I have used Zymol and it works nicely, but I don't think it is any better than Meguiar's Hi-Tech or Gold Class lines of wax. And, Zymol doesn't seem to last very long when compared to the Hi-Tech Meguiar's wax IMO. Did I mention that Zymoil attracts flies like a weekend picnic?
The sealant i tried once and it seemed to keep the intial shine much longer....
FYI: the gold class is a all in one, cleaner polisher, wax. I dont recommend using it on top of any other polishes because of the cleaning agents in it will basically strip all that hard work you did earlier.. defeats the purpose eh?
The Zymol you guys keep talking about, is it the blueish stuff you get a wal-mart or any other car place that is about 12bucks per bottle. Its hte cleaner, polisher, and wax thing.... Smells really good and says its a water based.... if you look at the back of the bottle, it says something about "produced for Zymol industries" and then list a address etc.. The company taht makes that is acctually turtle wax. They just change up the mixture to alter the smell and color from what i heard. I used taht for awhile on my GT before i really studied up on things... now i use meguirs if that tells you anything.

I use the Zymol on my stang and Tutle wax on my wife's merc., I personally haven't seen too much of a difference, but the smell of Zymol helps when I'm in the garage, hungry, and upset.......I'm sorry lost my train of thought...I like the Zymol, just hard to find in stores as far as the detailer and such, but what I was wondering was, how should I go about getting rid of swirls in such, you know??? I have no idea I was about to take it to get it professionally done and the guy that I was going to take it to uses 3M products and swears by them. Any thoughts, Thanks...!

So what do I use to get that "Car Show" shine??? And is it a good idea to get one of those polishing machines. I saw the Porter Cable 7424 and was wondering if it made a difference?? If that's so, then what pads do what and what procedure should I use to go about getting that shine that my neighbors and friends would envy?
i've never used a buffer or polishing machine myself.. always done it by hand.
if you want a cheap, easy but really good shine, Meguairs has a 3 step process that I really like. White is the hardest color to get looking best I think. It does a very decent job IMO. Its the Deep Crystal system you can find at most autozones and stuff. Its in a maroon bottle. There is a cleaner, a polish (which is pretty decent and leaves a gel-like looking finish) and a wax.

I agree with Scothew above completely. If you don't know what you are doing with a buffer you can screw things up pretty bad. Small rotary buffers are relatively harmless but people do screw up even with the rotary buffers.
Where most people make a mistake with them is by using the wrong pad for the wrong job, or by using a pad that is simply to aggresive period. Best advice if you try one, remember that quality synthetic foam pads are the most "harmless" of them all...and never EVER let any pad that touched the ground or anything remotely dirty touch your car....it will scratch the stuff out of it. Run from lambs wool pads as fast as you can.
Also, never even think about hitting a car with a non-rotary buffer unless you really know your stuff (and I mean know your stuff like your second job is spraying Boyd's cars) and you are taking off some serious imperfections. Those things can go through paint in seconds and are only a very dangerous way to try and speed up the process for those who aren't familiar with them.
Honestly, the safest way to do it is indeed to just use your hands. And, while I also recommend Meguiars Deep Crystal 3-Step system (maroon bottles) scothew mentions above, I think in your case Meguiars higher priced "Mirror Image (yellow bottles) system would be worth the extra dough for sure.
The reason I say this is because while both the Deep Crystal and Mirror Image lines work very well on dark cars, I think the difference in results between the two on lighter colors (like white) is more extreme. Years ago using only a clay bar, the No.9 Cleaner, No. 7 Showcar glaze, and No. 26 Hi-Tech Yellow wax (btw no way I would remeber the numbers off the top of my head without Sothew mentioning them first) I could make my fathers white Lincoln Town car so shiny it had a slight blue tint under the right light. Folks, white has got to be REAL shiny to do that. The Deep Crystal system made the car look better but nothing like the Mirror Image system did.
In contrast the 3 step system worked great on my brothers red Trans Am and even on my black 88 Turbo Coupe. Not quite as good as the Mirror Image system, but much closer results than on a white car. Matter of fact the black TC is so easy to make look shiny it's made me lazy as I don't wax it nearly as much as I waxed my old red Mach-1. I also HIGHLY advise you to use a spray detailer (quick wax) between "real waxing" as it makes the car look great and helps prolong the life of your wax job substantially. Meguiars offers a nice one in the Deep Crystal line that IMO works just fine.
If you do try the Mirror Image system (again, the products Scothew mentioned above..like number 7 Showcar glaze), I would advise the use of a sealer after glazing like he mentions even though I haven't used Meguiar's Sealer before. Reason being the extra "shine" the glaze adds does tend to fade relatively quickly even after you put the wax on IMO. Sealer is supposed to prevent this. (I asked scothew about Meguiar's sealer because I wondered if it actually did it's job...Meguiar's is awesome overall, but they do have one or two products that I don't like...as an example their clay bar sucks) And believe me, if you step up to Mirror Image the glaze is what gives you the incredible shine so you'll want it to last.

If you wanna see what my steps that I do is capable of, check these 2 pics
My Crystal White 2000 gt right after a wax job, didnt get any pics in pure sunlight

here is another one showing how good the polish and wax makes the paint look organic.
