Some times when water dries on the paint (in direct sunlight) the only way to completely remove them is with polish. Since you have tried the claybar with no luck the next thing to figure out if it is just the wax that is discoloured or if the paint is. Do you have a wax remover? Try that in a small spot. If that doesn't work try a little polish.

Can also try some Ducky's Water Spot Remover. Can be found at boating stores.

I used it on my SeaDoo watercraft.. worked like a charm.

Thanks for the tips guys!!! to be more specific, the water spots are actually inside the trunk area...the jam area i guess u could say. So basically its the part that i never really paid attn to when drying my car after a car wash or during rain.

I also had the same prolem. I had to go to a car wash and hand was it again and make sure I chamiod it while it was wet. Don't polish or wax over it as this will seal it. Just try washing it again.

A polish doesn't seal anything. A polish is intended to remove a fine amount of clear coat to even out the fine scratches in your paint. If you are going by Zaino's definition of a "polish", then you are actually referring to a sealant.

You might have to polish to remove the water spots if they are etched into the paint. You could give something like Duragloss Water Spot Remover a shot (can be found at Carquest). If that doesn't work, you will probably have to look at polishing.

My car is less than 2 months old and I have the water spots as well and can't see to remove them either. I used Zaino for the first time this weekend. The spots can be seen while applying the Zaino, but once it's dry and removed, they are invisible.

The glass is another story. Windex and Stoners glass cleaner don't work. Any suggestions for glass?

I used Griots Garage glass polish on water spots on the windows of a 40 year old house I bought and it took all the spots off with a soft cloth and some light rubbing.Oh yeah works on the car also.

I got my Griots Glass Polish and it works! I did the complete front and rear windows and they shine nicely with little or no water spots visible. I just did it quickly as the little May flies, black flies, or whatever you call them little suckers were winning and forcing me back inside! I think one more coat and the glass will be perfect!

Thanks for the tip!
