Ok, i bought the Smoked out head lights, we'll when it rains i have to take them off.. we'll i noticed the other day that it scraped the paint/clearcoat. :bang: I was so freakin pissed my girl even was grippin at me cause i wouldnt' shut up. But what i was going to ask is it possible to wax it out or am i going to have to touch it up :scratch: ?? I have ordred a thing of touch paint which should be here anyday now.
If i can i'll get pics asap.

Did you you get the hard covers, or the vinyl. Click on the link in my sig for my covers. I don't see how these could ruin your paint.

Luckily its plastic that got scratched.also look for vinyl overlaysgood luck
p.s. i would use touch up if its right near the edge of the covers.

one question..why do u need them on in the first place?...IMO they're pointless and a waste of money....

I've had headlight covers on other cars. You have to be careful when you remove them or you will scratch the paint, just like you did. If it is a light scratch you can remove it with polish. If it is deep, time to use some touch up paint.

Now, I am moving this to Car Care section since this is about the scratches on your car.

We'll yes they are usless as in performance and such. but looks makes it look sinister. I'll get some pics and post em.

pics of scratch?? if I can get a pic I will be able to tell you if you can get it out.

Word of advice: If you can feel it and if it catches your nail (if you lightly rub over it) then it can't be removed. However, if you can't fell it then it's possible to be removed with a lot of work.
