The tires that come with the new stangs are a pain to clean. They have these little closely spaced ribs that hold dirt. I wish they had a smoother sidewall so I could easily wipe my tire black on them.

Yes, but they are Pirelli's

Those are some dull looking tires. Get some Meguiars HotShine tire spray or something.

Those aren't the tires from my car. I couldn't take a picture of mine since my wife has it right now . Some spray probably would work better. I used some zaino tire stuff, but I was wiping it on with a rag. I'll try a spray bottle.

Cool. I have had some good experience with Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray. It is good, and their new one (January) is going to be even better.

STP foam tire cleaner.
It's in a big yellow aresol can.
Works great.
I've never "cleaned" my tires.
Just spray it on wet or dry tires, then leave it alone.
Ads a medium shine but it's water based so I ad a silicon based tire gel afterwards that usually last until the next wash.

When applying tire silicon, armor all (which I beg of you, don't use)...use a sponge. It gets in those grooves very well. Let it sit 15 minutes and then use an old rag to remove the left over stuff. Show room finish and when you drive away the stuff won't fly up all over the car.

Just like any tire company...they have their great, good and crap.

Just cause it says 'Pirelli' don't believe the hype...know what your riding on FIRST.

The BFGoodrichs that would come on the 18s are KDWs and are a great tire (new tread pattern)

The Pirelli's don't seem to be bad, but they aren't top of the line by ANY means. Better than gatorbacks....

Wouldn't they have to use the KDWS (Dry/Wet/Snow) since they have to be ALL season tires due to having the same tires on every car no matter where it ships.
The KDWS doesn't have the new tread pattern.
According to Discount Tire Direct they don't offer the new tread in 235/55/17 KDW.

And on a side note, Yes, the Gatorbacks stink!
