Swirls on shiny black plastic
My mother just got the new ford explorer and I was going to give it a clay bar treatment and some sealant over the weekend. I noticed that she has swirl marks from the dealer on the shiny plastic trim in betweens the windows. I was wondering if I can use polish on it with my Random orbital buffer without hurting it more? Or what products you guys use.
Thanks
Thanks

Yes you can. But the way that I get out swirl marks is by doing it by hand. Also you just ahve to be careful not to get them too hot if you are using a buffer.

is that trim plastic... or does it have a clear coat?
If it's plastic, try some Mother's Back to Black... or Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant... If it is clear coated, just treat it like you do the paint. Just be careful about the RUBBER moldings...
the Orbital probably won't do anything except spread compound around....

It is plastic but is glossy like it has a clear on it.
