I've had a "bullseye" chip in my other car for three years. I used one of the repair kits you can get at any parts store. It came with a syringe and a pad for injecting the glue or whatever into the window. Seems to have worked.

I don't see it getting better soon.
I am moving to a subdivision under construction in 19 days. Bobcats and dumptrucks are a daily occurence there.
Woulda never done it, but that development is HOT, and I wanted the only houses in the entire development who can't have houses behind em.I contend with this mess- Eleanor has taken on an orange hue.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, except it wasn't from a dump truck. Just from some non-driver that drove over the edge of the road into the area where debris always collects and kicked a stone into my windshield. Caught it right at the very edge, so of course it immediately caused about a 6 inch crack. At the end of the day, after sitting in 95 degree heat, my 6 inch crack was not almost 12 inches long. No simple fix other than to replace it. Grrrrrrr. And I've only had the car 2 months. At least now I won't be so paranoid about chips and scratches and cracks.

She's going to be spending a little time out in there for a while.

I got hit by a rock flying from one of those I despise so much no tag carrying dump trucks.
I have a small chip in my windshield- What do I do?
Can it be fixed now-its small?
Or if it enlarges, how do I get a mustang windshield replacement?

I feel your pain!! I got a chip in my windsheild about a month and a half after getting "the mistress" and it killed me! My dealer said a replacement windshield with pony would be about $300. Called about getting the chip "filled" and they said they would try but if the windshield broke, my problem not theirs! :notnice:
Waiting till next year to replace it, to see what else happens this year. She'll be garaged for the winter anyway. Good luck, let us know what you do.

Here in Arizona, the windshield replacement capital of the U.S., glass replacement insurance is a separate part of the overall car insurance policy. It's like $6 every 6 months so if it's available - I'd get it.

Try using artist brush from your local arts supply. Very fine .00
Also - if its a scratch - does it need the paint? - can you buff it out with a scratch remover.. ?
I have done this several times - 1st month some &*^@! at work keyed my car -even though it was parked out in the farthest reaches of heck away from everyone. Fortunately they did a poor job of it and I was able to buff out the damage completely with about 4 hrs of elbow grease.
I use turtle wax scratch and swirl remover - its been perfect for minor scratches.
and of course MY family will occasionally bump into my black stang in the garage.. and leave small scratches... removes them everytime.

If the ding is small enough and has not spread, American Family Insurance Company will have a glass company come out and get it it fixed as a FREE courtesy. I have used their services many times, ( not with this car...knock on wood), but it is nice to know

Don't kill me, but I think I am going to wait till it gets worthy to deal with.
I don't like things that have been repaired.
As for my door scratch- its to the metal and about an inch long. Yellows too shiny with this swampy sun to get a clear picture without reflections.
