I've got my own smell of death thing going on over here. Rat fell down inside an interior wall from the attic in my living room. Heard him scratch for a couple of days. Scratching stopped a few days ago and now the stink of death is getting brutal.

It's a mouse
Can't weigh but a couple of ounces I'd bet
Can't imagine how bad a 200 pound human would smell! This is bad enough.
I know how he got there. Stairs in my garage lead to attic. Kids left attic door open for who knows how long. Other than that the attic is sealed tight. No ventilation and no holes.

Well so far so good...
I dumped a box of baking soda in the trunk pan, took the mat out and sprayed it down with the hose. Opened 5 boxes of baking soda and placed them around the car. I then fabrezed (w/antimicrobial) the hell out of the trunk and interior.
Its been fairly cool here lately so I'm hoping its just not laying dormant until the next hot day. We'll see. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

2k7,
Just be glad you didn't have what happened to my neighbor. He opened the door to let the dog in and a skunk chased the dog into the house then sprayed. They had to gut the interior of the house all walls, cieling and floors too the beams.
Good luck with Mickey...

You don't want to, trust me. Closest thing Ive been around to a body in that state is if you get a protein shake, leave it out side in the heat for about a week and then pour it out. Someone did that crap here at work and it gave me flashbacks.
