Roof rail plastic end caps fading

Hi all, has anyone found a remedy for roof rail plastic end caps turning light grey from black on 2005-2009 mustangs? My car is black, and they stick out like a sore thumb. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks irv.

Try back to black from Mothers. It's probably just fading so yea give this stuff a shot. I use it inside on a section of my door and also on the cowl vent and mirrors and it works great

This sounds crazy but I got the idea off another thread in this forum - peanut oil. I tried it this weekend on my F150 plastic and rubber, it works great. I had black plastic exterior trim that was chalky grey, it was back to shiny black with one wipe down of peanut oil. The only pronlem is finding a small botyle of the stuff at the grocery store.

Peanut oil's expensive too. You could get the big multi gallon jug and deepfry a turkey with the leftovers

Peanut butter works pretty good too but you should take a damp cloth and wipe off the residue after letting it sit for a lil while. Ants will attack your car, I know cuz they attacked mine

It is the peanut oil in the peanut butter that works. Use the peanut oil and there is no residue to remove

I second Back to black as well, used it on several cars and it really brings back the color well.

Haven't tried peanut oil but i have heard some old school guys tell me about baby oil for their tires and trim.
