I just got a pair of some rhino ramps today in hope of making it easier to get the car up for changing the oil and such. However every time i try to drive my car up they start sliding forward. I have tried to big rocks in front and other heavy objects but my car just pushes them forward... The only thing that seems like it would keep them from sliding would be a house. Anybody had any similar experiences or tips on how to use them??...

Had the same problem. There is a lip at the entrance of the garage where the garage floor is a little higher then the driveway, I put them up against that and then rolled up, worked fine. Other then that, have no idea.

I was looking around on the internet earlier, and I heard the suggestion to tie a rope from the hole of the top and drive over the rope. It sounds like it would work perfect, I'll have to try it some time and I'll let yall know how it goes.

My Rhino ramps have a rubber foot that grips the garage floor. Works great on my daily driver Honda but haven't tried the Mustang yet. Maybe its the rear drive vs front drive issue.

I have them and love them.

Don't have the slipping problem unless the tires or ramps are wet.

Try to jamb the ramps under the tires and ease onto them (to put a bit of weight on them). They have rubber feet which should help.

As gjz30075 said, it may be because the stang is RWD. I have a FWD and the wheels tend to pull the ramps under the car. But I know many that use them for stangs.

Are you trying to use them on a smooth surface (ie. concrete).

Also, maybe try driving up the ramps on an incline area as it will probably be harder for the ramps to slide up a hill.

If that fails, I'm not sure what you might have to rig up to make them work. Maybe you can drill holes in your garage/driveway and drop pins through the ramp and into the holes to keep them still.

Many other RWD cars including mustangs have no problems and highly recommend the ramps.

EDIT: From what I read, the ramps will work best on a LEVEL surface (ie. like a garage)

I jammed them under and didn't have a problem after I wised up. I did use the concrete lip going into the garage for awhile. That vette looks nice.

Hey, I just bought rhino ramps and they slid on concrete floor every time I tried to drive up them.. Roofed my house a few years back and I saw some extra three tab regular ol roofing shingles in the garage, so I laid one shingle (up-side down) under each ramp. works every time. problem solved. Dan

I just got a pair this weekend for my birthday. I promply went outside and tried them out. I put them on my blacktop driveway, and my car went right up- no problems (no extras tricks needed).

Rubber feet attached to mine work in my garage every time. BTW, Rhinos are the only ramps low enough to get under my wife's Jetta without hitting the air dam up front.

Love my Rhinos. Got my Dad a set for Christmas.

I like mine too. Better than the old metal ones that I lost during a move several years ago. Lighter is better as one gets older!

Plus, you can dribble who knows what across them and not worry about them rusting/pitting or whatever. My rhinos get used about as much as my 1/2 ratcheting box end wrench. Everyone should have one.
