The new one arrived Monday and I got around to trying it on the GT yesterday evening.

I purchased one for the Cobra four years ago and was completely satisfied with the fit and quailty of that cover.

The new one for the GT is not a good fit at all. To start with the placing of the cover over the car was a very tight fit in area between the rear window and spoiler going over sides and a hard pull over the rear fascia. The front was difficult also, a straining very tight fit over the fender wheel well flares and fasica. The mirror pockets were straining from the front and hanging up between mirror and window space. The seams were poorly stitched together.

Just not a smooth fit and finish like the Cobra's which is a pleasure to work with.

Called CCC today with my concerns and the woman I spoke with said, being its a new model most likely it needs to be rechecked measurement wise for a smoother better fit. They would send out a return label and inform the factory to replace with resizeing concerns to improve the fit.

All I can say is, my "Dustop" from the same company fits beautifully, non of the problems you described. I am wondering if the different brands they offer are all made at the same place???? All my stitching and seams line up perfectly with the hood, trunk spoiler etc. No strainy to put it on at all.

Maybe they sent you the wrong one, wrong year?? Did you order it online or call? I know at their website it was a little confusing which one to order because they asked you stupid questions like if the car had 2 or 4 doors, when I already specified that it was a 2005 Mustang GT (has Mustang ever offered a 4 door?? I don't think so!!) So that is why I called and talked directly with a salesperson.

Hopefully you get the correct one!!

Mike

I bought mine from Ford also and I am very pleased with the fit. Easy on & easy take off. It was waiting for me when the car arrived, which was also nice.

I bought from CCC too, I hope mine fits better. I would have bought the Ford cover, but their online system is so crazy it just didn't want to work with me. I would love to get the spinners for the bullets, but I can't even find out if they are just caps, or the wheel comes as one piece.

I have the spinner (knock-offs) on order, so I am sure they are just the caps. Won't get them til mid December, from what I understand.

I read somewhere (on here I think) they come off VERY easily.
Makes them a target to steal. Be careful.
