Hello everyone!

I've decided to get a random orbital because of the time it would save adn for the better results I would see. My question to you is this, which model/brand should I get? I see Griot's sells one as does Meguiar's. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Jon

I've gone with a Craftsman from Sears and had good results. Others here may not agree but I feel that experience and how you use the buffer and what you use it with are all good points to consider.

What's the difference between that and a Dual Action (DA) polisher?

You left out the part where pros know what they are doing and this guy does not or he would not he asking. Craftsman is OK and priced less also. I have one but do not use it on the stang.

Thats why I mentioned Craftsman--nice unit to start with and you can always get another model later after you get some experience. Meguire's always has some good tips for buffer use and Autopia should have some good tips too. You can get a pricier buffer later but I'd suggest getting an entry level unit and make sure its something you are comfortable with using--nothing worse than getting something with more power than you need and not knowing how to properly use it...definately a recipe for disaster

I'm with TexaStang, get the Porter Cable 7424. I have one and have had great results with it. Here is an article on it-
