I'm thinking of buying a buffer this year and found these two kits, is one worth the extra $10? Any experiences, opinions, or even alternatives are welcome to help me in my decision

I've heard good things about Porter Cable but have never used one. When my last buffer bit the dust I picked up a nice Craftsman buffer and it does a good job for me. With the kits you showed you have the convenience of having all the stuff you need all in one place-buffer, pads, & polish so I guess it just comes down to deciding if you want their package or pick your own polishes/waxes/etc. I already had plenty of pads and all the waxes & stuff to the Craftsman works for me. If you've got the $ the Porter is the way to go. Be careful polishing the first few times until you get used to it & keep the car looking sharp! Later, Rob

I have a porter-cable and it still works as good as the day I bought it back in 1991. I use to detail cars for 6 years using this thing and it is still going strong. Isn't the one for $10.00 more only because of the detailing guide?
