Opinion on car covers?
#1
I recently changed jobs and my new company does not have covered parking. Can you guys recommend any good car covers? Also, would you guys even recommend getting a car cover? If you have dirt on the car, doesn't removing and putting on the cover potentially scratch the car? Any alternatives out there?

There's lots of nice high-tech covers out there (do a search on this site, you'll find 'em). They definitely need to go on a clean car though. You don't want to rub anything on your car when it's dirty. Of course if you have a Mustang you shouldn't let it get dirty, should you :nono:

I bought a "Dust Top" cover.
The one I got is an indoor cover but they have outside ones as well.
It has to be one of the bets covers I have seen.
You do not want to put a cover on a dirty/dusty car.

There's no need for a car cover. If you wax(a couple times a year) it and wash it( once every week or two weeks), it will most likely outlast your engine. I could understand if you didnt have a garage at you home, but at work? Common...that's a little overboard in my opinion.
