Has anyone used the stuff yet? I've heard it works and I've heard it doesn't. This would be for my wife's Element. When it comes to my Mustang I always wash and wax by hand.

I love it. It works by using filtered water to rinse the car so minerals (a major cause of water spots) are removed from the water and thus not left behind on your paint's surface. I still dry by hand to ensure I get zero water spots. You might as well use it for your mustang as well, you still have to wash it by hand the mr. clean just holds soap and the filter. You still need to "scrub" the car's surface.

I use Dri-Wash for my black Mustang... but the Mr Clean is good enough for the wife's yellow jeep :-) Just bought a filter refill at WalMart in fact! Pretty good product.

It leaves a film on the paint. Do yourself a favor and get Meguiars NXT Wash or Gold Class Wash and a good Waffle Weave Microfiber towel from exceldetail.com or pakshak.org (or.com i forget)

Autodry thing works great! I've been using it since I picked up my car in Nov., have not had to dry it once.

I get no film on my paint what so ever!

I use it also. It does a great job on my Red Fire. But when the filter starts to go, it leaves spots. I got a filter and it lasted about 6-7 washes.

I guess I'll have to try it then. Are they expensive or relatively cheap. Walmart would have it right?

I've been using eagle one car wash (stuffs pretty good right?) and a tanners select chamois to dry. We have really hard water around here.

I also use nu finish wax which I've been using since I first learned to wax a car.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

mr clean autodry will work, but get rid of the nufinish! this is a mustang, not a beater car.

I thought nu finish was good. i've never had a problem with it. Granted it doesn't last a year like it advertises but it seems to work for me. What would you suggest, I'm always willing to try a new product?

Glad you asked

There are many products which will make your finish look much better.

I would recommend Meguiars 3-step process for you. That can be found on Meguiars.com or you can ask them more questions on meguiarsonline.com

If you want a one step process, Meguiars NXT Tech Wax is a great one step process. Ask more questions if you have any!

I second that. Meguiars kicks serious tail, and is very easy to use.
