Does anyone know how to remove the honeycomb hood scoop insert on a 1999-2004 gt without removing the entire scoop?

 

There won't be anything behind it.....

 

I know, I'm trying to clean/wax that area and don't want to mess up the finish with that white haze that max does to black plastic.

Do you know how to get it off? I got the side scoop ones off with no problem at all.
