How to Restore a Windshield Fluid Reservoir to Like New

I'm getting closer to finishing the full restoration of my 1984 Mustang 5.0 liter and want to know how best to restore the windshield fluid reservoir to a like new condiditon. Like most of them I've seen mine is yellowed and stained, etc. Being just slightly (wink, wink) ****, I just can't have that dirty thing in my beautifully clean and detailed engine bay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'm not sure there's much you can do. It's old plastic, it yellows. Think: old tupperware. No matter how much you scrub it, it's still going to be off-colored.

Most likely the staining isn't topical, but it's actually the material itself changing color.

Your best bet would be to replace it.

I'd buy a nice new one if they were available anywhere, but don't believe they are at the moment. If you know of someone reproducing these please let me know.
