How to protect chin spoiler?

I'm getting my chin spoiler painted this week and I was thinking about getting the 3m spray clear bra, but that hasn't gotten the best reviews. Any ideas to keep those pesky rock chips from damaging the paint?

Don't do the spray on. It looks terrible. Go with the regular clear bra if you're going to do it!
