I carry a bottle of detail spray and an MF cloth with meall the time. As to using the dryer sheets I would use them to prevent Lovebug damage which will eat thru the clearcoat if left unatteded. Scratches can be rubbed out, missing clearcoat no repair.

My bud wrapped the front/rear bumpers and his hood with clearwrap. Can hardly tell its even on!

Yeah...about the bug thing...as great as that sounds, wont a good quality detail with good quality paste wax pull off bugs nicely? I detailed my truck a couple months back, took it on a trip, and washed off all the bugs with ease.

Prevention is the best remedy. Pressure washer usually takes em right off. I have used the dryer sheet method for years too though. Dunk in the soapy water and then wash after with the microfiber sponge. Two bucket of course.
