Convertible Care

I just spent three great years with a 2010 Red Candy GT convertible. My ETA on a 2013 triple black GT convertible is 4/21. I am very lucky, living in California the top is down 90% of the time. I had great success maintaining the interior of my 2010 with 303 Aerospace Protectant and the cloth top with RaggTopp.

I had problems with two areas. The black boot grays quickly. The faded color of the boot will really stand out on the black car. Is there a way to keep the boot from fading?

The top of the sun visors had the same problem Too much sun caused dramatic fading. The cloth material of the visors and boot are hard to protect. Any ideas?

Good to know you've already read enough to use 303 aerospace as well as RaggTopp.

I'd recommend using the same 303 on the boot as well as it does a pretty nice job of handling UV rays. A thin application each month should work well.

For the sun visors, I'd actually recommend maybe trying the same thing. Because it's a different material, it'd be best to lightly spray a towel and then gently rub the exposed portion of the visors. Because you don't want the end result to look spotty, keep in mind multiple ultra thin applications are key. You're better off doing this 3 times than one time poorly.
