#22
mark, i clean my engine like every week, as much as i do the body and inside. the more you do it the easier it is to keep clean. like this
1. clean and vacuum inside, windows, wipe down with protectent
2. clean & vacuum the trunk out
3. wash rinse the engine
4. wash outside, wheels, body then dry it
5 blow dry the engine
6 wax the body
7. clean the engineand wheels
8 finish the wax off
takes a good day to detail it from inside out, top to bottom

I have found one product that oil grease and grim better than any other I have tried Castrol Superclean just make sure you completly rinse it off as I am sure it is highly corrosive just like Simple Green but works faster and with better results

I have also used Super Clean (purple stuff from Walmart) for years, it is great. It can also be diluted and used as a general all-around cleaner. I have used it when restoring my 69 mustang. I also use it to clean my garage floor, as well as anything else gunked up. Guys-don't let your wives/girlfriends get ahold of it, you will never see the bottle again, and you will have to buy yourself another bottle!

So, what is a list of things that MUST be covered when using an engine degreaser?
1. Battery
2. Intake
3. Distributor
4. ??
5. ??
Also, is there any problem with some of the grease getting into the spark plug holes or onto any pullies/belts etc.??
Thanks,
Dan
