Bugs Sticking After A Long Ride
#1
I had a Cougar that I used when I travel back and fourth across the province, and I was forever spending too much time on it so my niehbour came outside one day after I had it all clean, and took a can of Pam vegitable spray and sprayed all my crome ? So I asked and she said just leave it and when you get home next just take the hose and a cloth and it will just wipe away. She was 75 years old so I pay heed. It worked so well with no side effects I even tried it of the front paint only again I seen no ill effects has onyone else ever heard of this?

Yes I've heard of using PAM. I've never used it, but I doubt it will hurt the paint. During the bug season, I clean the front of my car almost daily after drving at night.
I wonder if someone egged the front of your car, if the egg wouldn't stick either?

Go to your local Harley Davidson store. They have HD Bug Removal Spray. Wash it up, mist on the Bug Removal spray, and it makes the flying road kill come off a lot easier. Good stuff.

Good wax job is the best. People use PAM down here during love bug season--those stinkers'll eat your paint--but I've been past a few that, in the heat, with the combo of smashed bugs and PAM smelled pretty bad.
Wax, and daily cleanings during bad bug seasons, work best for me.

Another idea...after the drive take cotton towels and get them sopping wet, do not wring them all the way out...keep them really soaked and lay them over the bumper/affected area. the water will soak into the bugs making them easy to get off without scratching the paint, rubbing on bugs WILL scratch your paint if not careful. I had a BLACK car and used this method, it worked pretty well.
