Do any of you guys have a solution for maintaining the black trim? I hate it when it starts to fade =(

Fortunately, for the last 7 years my trim has held up well; however, it's now beginning to show its age. I believe there must be a way to stop it before it looks like all the other used stangs.

Do you guys know I almost traded my 97 in for a 2002 GT? It was cool, silver, loud exhaust and the Mach 1000.

The body looked good and only had 31k miles. But I don't know....it just didnt look as good as mine. OR I am just attached =)

Anyway. Any advice on trim protection?

The outside trim? I'd keep it treated with your choice of protectant, and don't let it lapse. If you do that, it should hold up pretty well.

If you're talking inside leather seats, keep it conditioned!

And park in the shade as much as you can. Luckily, at work I have a parking garage, and at home I have the garage. My car doesn't see the sun, unless its being driven.

Thanks for the Info Jeffrey (btw, nice Mach).

yes, I was talking about the outside trim. I noticed that it is coated. Any of you know if that is clearcoat? It seems like the sun/rain wears away the coating over time.

Didn't know about back to black like the other mentioned. I'll have to give that try as well.

Absolutely correct .... Best stuff out there for black plastci items. It is the only product I have found so far that doesn't leave a film to eventually turn white on you.

Wouldn't use anything else.
