Best way to remove bugs off my DD?

Well my G35 has accumulated some bugs that WILL NOT come off. I know there are some decent "bug and tar" removers out there, but what else does the trick?

A few things help to remove bugs. Bug and tar removers, WD 40, Goo-gone, claybars, etc etc. You just have to watch out what you use. WD 40 works wonders but it is a pain to wash the stuff off of the car after and you don't want to do this in the sunlight. It then makes a mess of your cleaning bucket and wash mitt. What I use is a bug remover sponge. I swear by this thing, literally.

When you get one you will think that it will scratch the paint. You just soak it in warm water for 5 minutes then scrub away those bugs. No more messing around with chemicals. After using one I ordered a few more since I didn't know how long they would last. So far I am still using the original one that I bought at the beginning of the summer. I even leave it in my bucket of soapy water.

Good info man, I will try some of these products. You don't think WD 40 and Goo-gone are too potent on the clear and paint?

I use the exact same bug removing sponge for all my cars. Works great. My kids call it spongebob. My 4 year old has even been known to play with it. It really works. Everyone with a Mustang that they love should have one in their garage.

GooGone and WD 40 are great for removing grease and/or adhesive residue left over after removing stripes. However, they also strip away wax and if left on too long can/will damage the clearcoat.

My parents live in Fla. and every year they deal with "love bugs" and what they use is a vinegar/water mixture and also after spraying off as much as you can with a hose use a dryer sheet to wipe them off.

That mixture sounds a little more paint-friendly to me. Have an exact measurement on how to make it?

She said depending on how bad the bugs are. Usually a 50/50 mixture but sometimes more vinegar
