My 95' stang has some dirt that is stubborn and wont come off with me just using car wash soap and a sponge and when i open my gas tank around in there its stuck also.... What can i use to remove the stains any ideas or good tips i can pick up at advanced auto parts or a local car store? Only 17 and cannot order stuff without a credit card... Also any 3-step process cleaners out there that i can buy thats not online and places like pep boys advanced etc.?

Try Dawn dishwashing liquid....Just make sure you put a good coat of whatever wax you use over it afterwards!!!!

Good luck....

Hi Brian. Start with the Dawn dishwashing detergent as it works great at removing grease and wax residue. If it is really stubborn and in an area that is hard to reach I place the dawn detergent directly on the end of an old toothbrush and I use it to scrub the area. Hose the area down really well. Once it is pretty clean, if there are any stains left you can try using a claybar. Once again, if it is in a tough to reach area, I place a small amount of polishing compound on the end of a toothbrush to clean the area. Wash the area very well if you use compound. Then apply wax and you are done. Works great for me before I go to a car show.
